The children were delighted to see the new Village Sign go up. Many of the children had been involved with the original ideas for the design and were so excited to see the finished product. They particularly love the school bell being rung.
Bungay Rotary Club – 2018
Once again we were delighted to welcome the Bungay Rotary Club to come and give our children dictionaries. This year they gave the dictionaries to our Year 4 pupils so they can use them as they journey up through the school. The children are delighted with the dictionaries which are a wonderful gift to be given.
On Saturday 4th November some of the children from Ellingham School performed in their first piano concert in Norwich. These children took their piano exams at the end of the summer term and all passed. They all performed extremely well considering this is the first time they have played in public. Well done.
Hungate Hall Christmas Tree Festival 2017
Our tree in the Hungate Hall Christmas Tree Festival looked amazing with all the pom poms that the children made. Well done to all of the children. We would also like to say a big thank you to Harvey Brothers Funeral Service in the village for not only sponsoring the tree and decorating it, but for giving all of the children a treat for taking part.

Carol Concert 2016
The children went to St Mary’s Church Ellingham, on Wednesday 14th December 2016, for a Carol Concert.
The children performed beautiful, reading, playing instruments and singing. Many children had solos and the older children performed a ‘round’, in three sections of the church.
The collection at the end of the service was for the BIG C Cancer Charity Shop in Beccles.
Christmas Tree Festival
The children made stars and angels to decorate a tree which was part of the Christmas Tree Festival in Hungate Church, Beccles. Harvey Bros Funeral Directors sponsored the tree and very kindly presented the children with boxes of chocolate as a reward for making such lovely decorations.
Staff Sergeant Sayer came to Ellingham VC Primary School on the 11th November 2016.
He brought two sets of uniform for the children to identify. One is the uniform the soldiers wear today, the other was that worn by soldiers in World War 1.
